چکیده

Five biotic and abiotic inducers namely, (Bio-Arc and Bio-Zaid) and (salicylic acid, K HPO and neem 2 4 oil) were examined for their effectiveness in controlling fungal diseases, improving growth and yield of alfalfa. The field trials have shown that salicylic acid, K HPO and neem oil respectively gave a significant P 0.05 2 4 protection against rust, downy mildew in both tested cvs. Ismailia-1 and wade-1 when applied as plant spraying and/or seed soaking compared with check treatment, whereas, Bio-Zaid and Bio-Arc were less effective. Moreover, the tested inducers significantly decreased root rot and wilt severity and increased the number of nodules, fresh and dry weight of nodules per plant and yield components were increased over the control in both cultivars when applied as seed soaking. These results were confirmed in the two successive seasons2008/2009and 2009/2010 with minor differences. The mechanism under line induce disease resistance is discussed.

During 2000 and 2001, the prevalence of fungal diseases of alfalfa was surveyed underenvironmental conditions in Zanjan province, Iran. In total, 15 genera of fungal pathogens wereisolated from plants sampled from the fields. All of these disease interactions had not been previouslyrecorded in Zanjan and Colletotrichum truncatum, Leptotrochila medicaginis, Phoma medicaginis,Rhizoctonia crocorum...

اثرات تلقیح ریزوبیومی بر شاخص‌های تشریحی برگ یونجه (Medicago sativa) تحت آلودگی گاز دی‌اکسیدگوگرد

Abstract: Sulphur dioxide (SO2) is one of the main air pollutants that can cause imbalance in growth and physiological function of plant in high concentrations. Rhizobium-plant symbiosis can cause increasing in plant resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses in addition to increase growth of plant. In this study, effects of Rhizobium (native and standard strains) on leaf anatomical parameter...

Improvement of lignans production in hairy root culture of Linum mucronatum using abiotic and biotic elicitors .

Elicitors could be used as the enhancer of plant secondary-metabolite synthesis and could play an important role in biosynthetic pathways of important medicinal compounds. The present study investigated the effect of abiotic elicitor (fungal extract of Fusarium graminearum) and two abiotic elicitors (methyl jasmonate and salicylic acid) at different concentrations in 18- and 30-day-old cultures...

The effects of fungal and yeast elicitors on the production of tropane alkaloids in Hyoscyamus niger plantlets under in vitro condition

Henbane (Hyoscyamus niger) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Solanaceae family that like to other plants of this family such as Atropa and Datura produces pharmaceutical tropane alkaloids hyoscyamine and scopolamine. These medicinal valuable compounds have anticholinergic effects, and antispasmodic and sedative properties. One of the most cost-effective strategies to increase production of...

Investigation some of the Biotic and Abiotic Variables Effective on the Diameter Increment of the Beech Trees at Fixed Sample Plots level by Growth Models

Quantifying forest growth and determination of its affective factors are fundamental for forest management. This study examines the effects of biotic and abiotic factors on the diameter increment of oriental beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) in a high-elevation forest in northern Iran using permanent sample plots. The aim of this study was identification and quantifying environmental factors such...
